Current TNBR has been focusing on conducting R&D that adds value and aligned to TNB corporate needs as well as national aspiration.
Future TNBR aspires, in the near future, to be at the forefront of technology related to renewableand green energy – providing solutions not just to TNB but to other utilities in the region and Asia.
Achievement: Technical & Financial
For our R&D activities, most of our solutions have been implemented by our parent company. On average of 30 to 35 projects completed per year, 96% of our research finding have been deployed into operation and contributed significant value creation.
For our engineering consultancy and testing services, we have received continuous request of our services. With majority of them coming from repeated customers, it demonstrated our capability and delivery performance. Additionally, our service quality are of international standards as recognised by various bodies.
- • Obtained Certificate of Laboratory Excellence from International Institute of Interlaboratory Studies (IIS) for our Transformer Oil Test 5 years in row (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010).
- • Continuous ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation initiatives. Every year a set of test have successfully being accredited by Standards, Malaysia.
- • Our Product Inspection services recently being accredited to ISO/IEC 17020 – the first in Malaysia for Inspection of High Voltage Electrical Equipment.
